He loves school, sports, shoes, creating his own clothing and accessory designs, and activities where he can be outside.
Triston became noticeably tall and started developing acne at an earlier age than normal. His pediatrician ran blood tests, and there was a cause for concern. The family was directed to the Mayo Clinic for genetic testing, and it was revealed that Triston had congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), a group of inherited genetic disorders that affect the adrenal glands. A person with CAH lacks one of the enzymes the adrenal glands use to produce hormones that help regulate metabolism, the immune system, blood pressure and other essential functions. Triston has to take hydrocortisone 4 times a day, and carries and injectable med in case of an emergency. He also recently received a hormonal implant to help control his condition.
Triston is intelligent, funny and outgoing. He loves school, sports, shoes, creating his own clothing and accessory designs, and activities where he can be outside. Triston wishes for an adventure filled getaway in the great outdoors.
