“Carmon was always asking questions”
Even though she was afraid, in pain and missing out on a lot of fun stuff, 7-year-old Carmon never let her smile and polite disposition drop.
Carmon was hospitalized at Mercy Medical Center after suffering from a sore throat, rash and fever. The rash covered her entire body; she was red, itchy and in a lot of pain. Carmon underwent multiple tests and procedures, had to be kept in isolation, and take a lot of medication. She couldn’t go outside, go to school, or be with her friends.
Because her rash was overwhelmingly large and scary, Carmon was initially afraid, but after talking to doctors, she felt better. Carmon was very motivated to learn all she could about what was causing her symptoms and always took the time to say “please” and “thank-you” to staff.
Along with Mercy Medical Center, Kids Wish Network is pleased to honor Carmon as a Hero of the Month for her bravery!
