Thomas’s Magical Dream Come True

Thomas Miele 2

“Thomas loved everything”

Thomas was diagnosed with hemophilia, a severe bleeding disorder, at birth and has been receiving regular doses of blood-clotting medication three times each week for his entire life. He also knows he must be extremely careful when playing to prevent cuts or scrapes.

Thomas’s condition prevents his blood from clotting, making any tiny cut a life-threatening situation for the 6-year-old. Because of his regular medication schedule, doctors have implanted a port that allows for easier access to Thomas’s veins. In addition to the hemophilia, Thomas was born without a kidney. He must receive regular ultrasounds to stay on top of his only kidney’s functions.

Despite his disheartening condition, Thomas is a helpful and easy-going little boy who likes to watch TV, color, and play outside. He likes to watch wrestling, hockey, and cartoons, especially SpongeBob Square Pants, Frozen and Paw Patrol.

Kids Wish Network was happy to combine some of his favorite things and send him on a magical wish trip to visit the Disney and Universal parks in Florida. Thomas and his family had a great time park hopping and taking in some Florida sun.

Thomas loved riding Space Mountain, swimming in the pool at his luxury hotel, Royale Parc Suites, and having dinner at sponsor Chuck E. Cheese.

KWN would like to thank all the generous Guardian Angel sponsors that helped make Thomas’s dream come true:
• Royale Parc Suites
• Texas Roadhouse
• Planet Hollywood
• Chuck E. Cheese
• Enterprise Rent-A-Car
