Maimonidas Infants and Children’s Hospital, January 2014
Kenneth was admitted to Maimonidas Medical Center with severe pneumonia. During his admission, the 4-year-old had difficulty breathing and had to be placed on oxygen. The brave little child also suffered through the insertion of a chest tube to help drain all the fluid in lungs, an extremely painful procedure.
Kenneth calmly sat through multiple needle sticks for necessary blood work and many different uncomfortable medical procedures. Throughout the entire ordeal, Kenneth showed his bravery and is an amazing example of a Hero.
