A major part of the Kids Wish Network difference is our Holiday of Hope Gift Bank and On Tour Event programs. We couldn’t help the hundreds of thousands of children across the U.S. suffering from life-altering situations without our amazing Warehouse Department. Here’s a little piece of what they do!
“This week in the warehouse, we are picking 22 pallets (retail value of about $20,000 each) of board games, puzzles, stuffed animals, and educational games for an upcoming event in Yazoo City, Mississippi. This is our second On Tour Event here, and we’re partnering with the Mississippi Conference of Black Mayors (MCBM) headed by Mayor Straughter, to provide for children and families throughout the Mississippi Delta.
As part of the MCBM’s initiative, the kids will be going to different stations throughout the event to educate them about the importance of health, nutrition, education, and available resources. Once the families have concluded their educational stations, the kids will be able to pick from various toys, games, and clothes provided by us and donated from wonderful companies like Café Press, Bird Cage Press, Winning Moves, and Dunecraft.
We’ve got a lot of work to do in the next few weeks to get ready for the event, but can’t wait to be back in Yazoo City!
