At 10 weeks old, Savannah was diagnosed with ‘failure to thrive’ and a year later she was diagnosed with a cellular energy disorder called mitochondrial disease. Savannah suffers from mitochondrial disease complex I and complex III, which have caused a variety of issues, including respiratory and gastrointestinal problems, low blood sugar, extreme fatigue, low growth, and other problems. These conditions have also caused progressive muscular atrophy, which causes her to rely on a wheelchair for long distances. Savannah was also recently hospitalized for pneumonia.
For her wish, Savannah got meet her favorite Disney princesses at their Florida home in Walt Disney World! She wore her favorite ballgowns to the parks and got autographs and pictures with all of her favorite princesses. Savannah also had a blast riding rollercoasters and being a part of all the different shows!
