In memory of Jack Friedman, co-founder of JAKKS Cares and JAKKS Pacific, for his generous donations of over $1 million worth of toys to Kids Wish Network. A heartfelt thank you on behalf of the thousands of children whose lives he touched.
Jack Friedman made the world a better place for children by sharing the magical world of toys through his generous nature and service to others. He had grand plans to make playtime a special experience for children of all ages when he co-founded JAKKS Pacific, Inc. Toy Company in 1995.
He began donating a multitude of popular games and toys to Kids Wish Network in 2002 through JAKKS Cares, a charitable division of JAKKS Pacific. Jack certainly accomplished his goals and more by touching the lives of many children through his generosity to several worthwhile international children’s charities.
Kids Wish Network was honored to be part of the JAKKS “family” and we were saddened to learn that Jack passed away on May 3, 2010.
“JAKKS has always been generous to our children,” said Barbara Askin, Director of Distribution for Kids Wish Network. “Jack Friedman was a kind man and he did everything out of the kindness of his heart.”
Everyone at Kids Wish Network is keeping Jack’s family, friends and co-workers in our thoughts and prayers. We look forward to continuing our work with JAKKS Cares to carry on Jack’s legacy of kindness and generosity to children.
