Andrew was injured in a skateboard accident. His skateboard flipped up and hit him in the groin, tearing his urethra. He endured repeated tests and scans and had a catheter placed to facilitate urination. He had a complicated stay due to the risk of clots forming and required close monitoring. He was released from the hospital with the catheter in place. Within a week he was readmitted with high fever. He had developed pneumonia and was in the hospital for another 5 days. Andrew displayed great courage and was a trooper through the entire healing process.
