Joshua was born with severe epilepsy. The condition has had a profound affect on his everyday life and has left him cognitively delayed. Joshua suffers from grand mal seizures, which are extremely severe, about once a month; the smaller petit mal seizures occur up to 100 times a day. Joshua has been hospitalized frequently in his young life and requires 24 hour a day care. Doctors have recently begun treating Joshua with a new medication that is helping to control the severity of his seizures. In addition, Joshua has cerebral palsy.
Joshua is a huge music lover and he knew just what he wanted for his special wish: his very own piano! Play on, Maestro!
