Dylan is an 11 year old boy diagnosed with an Arteiovenous Malformation, also known as a brain bleed. He is known to the hospital and was admitted in October for a lengthy hospitalization and several invasive procedures. Dylan worked hard to regain his strength in his fine motor skills, talking and walking. Unfortunately this is a long road for Dylan and he has had to return to the emergency department with further symptoms and outpatient areas for additional tests and procedures throughout November and December. In the end of February he will also be returning for hopefully the last long hospital stay to fix the rest of the brain bleed. Dylan has been anxious about returning but was very brave while at the hospital. He seemed to cope by laughing with his family and others around him. Due to his condition, Dylan has been participating in home instruction versus being in school with his friends but he hopes to return to school soon. Dylan is our Hero due to his sense of humor, his lessons he teaches others and the drive he possess to push through every day!
