Dylan is a very sweet and intelligent three-year old who was diagnosed with Charcot Marie Tooth disease – a genetic, neurological disorder that affects the body in many ways, most notably causing significant overall muscle weakness. This has greatly affected Dylan’s gross motor skills, speech, self-care skills, coordination, and fine motor skills. He has to work extra hard to complete everyday tasks that the rest of us take for granted. Dylan consistently come to therapy twice a week for speech, occupational and physical therapy. He is a very hard worker and never complains. In fact, he always has a cheerful attitude and completes any activity presented to him. His parents are very dedicated and supportive who work with him on a daily basis to help their only child overcome his obstacles and keep him as independent as possible. At 3 years old, Dylan puts forth more effort than most adults and is a true HERO!
