Christian has had numerous hospital stays to help correct his leg length discrepancy. Currently he has an external fixator on to aid in lengthening his leg so it will be even with his other leg. During each admission, Christian has been positive regarding his treatment and his long length of stay. He has befriended many of the new patients and helped transition them into what it is like to stay in the hospital. Christian has even bonded with one of the teenage patients who was experiencing a very hard time at the hospital. With his great sense of humor and personality, he was able to encourage her to come out of her room more. He even tried to wake up before her 7:00am surgery to wish her well. In addition to his friendships, he never complains about going to physical therapy even though at times it can be painful.
