Vicky is a hero for many reasons. She came to the United States for treatment of her bilateral Blount’s disease. She was treated with external fixators on both of her legs, which is a time consuming and often painful process to endure. She worked incredibly hard in physical therapy throughout her treatment and recovery. While going through this process, she also had to start at a new school and learn to balance her school work with her demanding appointment and therapy schedule. After more than a year of treatment, she completed her medical process with courage and strength. She is a shining start who made it despite many obstacles in her way!
