Kimberly was born with cerebral palsy. This is a group of brain disorders that are characterized by seizures, spasticity and impaired mobility. She has suffered from severe seizures and is wheelchair dependent. Kimberley is also fed via a g-tube and attends frequent physical therapy sessions.
The highlights of Kimberley’s Disney trip were rides that involved lights, music or bumps, so the rides at both Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Magic Kingdom were perfect for her: “She likes to spin and bump!” When she’s happy, Kimberley loves to giggle; according to her mother “she just giggled” the entire time. While at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Kimberley was given a special “Birthday Button” to wear and during the parade, some of her favorite characters came over to greet her with warm birthday wishes, which made her giggle even more!
