Kevin is a 12 year old boy who has been diagnosed with non-verbal Cerebral Palsy, among a long list of other medical complications. He is unable to ambulate and is mostly bound to his wheelchair. Kevin visits the hospital frequently for many reasons. He has had countless surgeries in his young life in order to correct his physical limitations and increase his overall quality of life. Despite his inability to clearly communicate verbally with others, his mother states that he is constantly “taking in” information and finds ways at times to express himself. Though he continues to endure many painful physical difficulties, his mother is so proud of his small accomplishments that he has been able to meet. He is truly a Hero in everyone’s eyes!
