Josue was admitted to the hospital in Dec 2009 for abdominal pain. He had previously been hospitalized without many findings but upon his return to the Children’s Hospital at NWTHS, he was diagnosed with Henoch-Schonelein Purpura (HSP). It presents with a petechial rash, causing abdominal pain and possible kidney failure. Josue was hospitalized for over a weeks to receive doses of antibiotics. He will make a full recovery, but he has endured a long hospitalization and extreme pain at times. He has been a true Hero through it all!
