Jack has a neuromuscular condition that is progressive. His father has also experienced this, so he knows what to expect. He recently underwent several painful surgical procedures to his right foot, and is now receiving physical therapy to help him improve his mobility and strength. Despite being in considerable pain following his surgery, he works hard and follows the instructions of his therapist. He never complains – just buckles down and gets the job done during every session. He even works hard at home, committed to his physical therapy homework regularly while pushing himself even when he isn’t being monitored. Jack has worked hard to push himself from depending on crutches and being fearful of putting weight on his foot, to now walking without them. Jack deserves to be rewarded for his hard work, which is why he is our HERO OF THE MONTH!
