Isabel was a 16-year old girl who was recently diagnosed with an unknown collapsed lung. Isabel has been in and out of the hospital for the last two months and has had six chest tubes placed and removed. Isabel may ultimately need part of her lung resected. Throughout the last few months, Isabel has been in extreme pain much of the time but continues to put a smile on her face. She is an inspiration to the hospital staff, her family, and friends. Isabel’s attitude is contagious and she brightens the spirits on the unit she is in.
