Seven-year-old Luke is a very friendly little boy with an outgoing personality and a fantastic smile. He just loves to keep busy and has many ways of doing so, including playing on his different game systems, watching baseball and collecting baseball cards. One of his favorite things, besides baseball, is anything to do with Mickey Mouse!
At birth, Luke was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and was taken into surgery that same day. Cystic fibrosis is a chronic disease that causes mucus buildup to clog various organs including the lungs, pancreas, liver and intestines. The condition often leads to life-threatening lung infections and also interferes with food absorption. Since his initial surgery, Luke must endure twice-daily breathing treatments using a percussion vest. He is also in and out of the hospital frequently due to his respiratory problems.
Luke had a fantastic time at Disney World! He met all of his favorite characters and just had a blast. We’re so glad you had a great time, Luke!
