Erica is a spitfire of a six year old who was diagnosed with early onset scoliosis and a tethered cord. She has been coming to our facility for 5 years now. She comes every three months for either a new Risser cast or a brace. For better or worse, Erica has no memory of life without the cast or the brace. When she hugs you, she squeezes so tight just so she can feel some pressure on the rigid cast. She is a friend to every patient and staff. You always know when she is in the building with her high pitch pixie like voice echoing through the halls. She is so sweet and creative and just an amazing little girl. It has truly been a privilege to watch her grow up and hopefully one day we will be able to permanently fix her spine and can get a real hug from one of the cutest brown eyed girls.
