At the age of two, Christopher was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, which is a group of spastic neural disorders that severely effect the body’s movement and posture. This little boy was also found to have very low muscle tone, which is condition called hypotonia. Because of these disorders, Christopher has limited use of his left side and has much difficulty when walking. He uses either a walker, leg braces or a wheelchair for long distance movements and must endure various speech and physical therapies. In addition, Christopher has suffered through one surgery and may undergo yet another to implant a pump that would deliver antispasmodic medicine continually into his spinal fluid.
Christopher’s only wish was to meet his favorite country singer, Alan Jackson, and he did just that. Right before a concert at the Foothills Fall Festival that he was all set to attend, Christopher and his family got to go backstage and meet the singer, which was quite an experience for the young country fan, and was definitely something that he will never forget.
