Charlotte has a rare disorder known as Loeys Dietz Syndrome. LDS is a genetic condition that affects the connective tissue in the body. One of the primary concerns of children with LDS is developing an aortic root aneurysm. Other characteristics include scoliosis and cardiovascular problems. Charlotte has undergone surgery to replace her aorta and she has had numerous spinal surgeries in addition to a bone graft. Charlotte visits her doctors frequently and must wear a brace to keep her spine stable.
At the first sight of her beautiful new playhouse, Charlotte just had to go right in. She fell in love with it immediately and plays in it constantly; Charlotte just adores her magnificent wish.
