Where Donations Go

One of the most important questions a donor can ask us is, “How much of my donation will benefit the children you serve?” Kids Wish Network is proud to be unique in our response to those donors, “100 percent”.

How is this possible? Like all national charities, Kids Wish Network - a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization - has operating expenses. Fortunately, the diversity of our fund-raising efforts provides the resources to pay our overhead; eventually these efforts led to the creation of our Guardian Angel Fund. This audited fund is restricted to direct program service expenditures, thereby ensuring that all donations directed to this account benefit the children participating in our programs. Donors may request that their funds be directed to this account, however all donations received through our web site are directed to the Guardian Angel Fund.

Our Programs

Kids Wish Network fulfills the wishes of children ages 3 to 18 with life-threatening medical conditions. Our dedicated staff and volunteers infuse much-needed joy into sick children’s lives by transforming their wishes from far-fetched fantasy to smile-inducing reality. Whether the wish is for travel to their favorite destination, a computer, or a visit with a favorite celebrity, we will see that the dream comes true.
Through our gift-giving Holiday of Hope campaign, Kids Wish Network brings toys, entertainment, celebrities, and a much-needed break from medical treatment to children in hospitals across the country.
Kids Wish Network’s Gift Bank Program provides hospital emergency rooms, pediatric wards, and other children’s care facilities with age appropriate gift bags and offers a much needed distraction from often traumatic experiences.
Kids Wish Network’s Funeral Assistance Program helps the families of our wish kids who have passed away by lifting their economic burden and ensuring a proper end-of-life ceremony.
Kids Wish Network’s Hero of the Month Program offers participating hospital facilities the opportunity to nominate a child each month to receive a special “Hero Wish Package”. These young warriors do not have a life-threatening condition, however have bravely faced and overcome a tragic circumstance in their life.

A Letter from the CEO

In 1989 my father was diagnosed with cancer and I frequently accompanied him to his chemotherapy treatments. During these visits, I regularly encountered young cancer patients. I simply could not imagine the pain and sorrow associated with watching these children suffer through similar circumstances. As a mother of three, housewife, and business owner, I had always dreamed of someday having the ability to make a difference in the lives of children in need. At that point, I vowed I would dedicate myself to making a difference in the lives of sick children and their families. After my father passed away, I convinced my husband to sell our business to make good on my promise.
