What Makes Kids Wish Different from other Wish Granting Organizations?

• Unlike most other national organizations, Kids Wish Network grants wishes throughout the United States from one central office. We have found that technology has eliminated the need for expensive chapters and duplication of overhead; one location also provides enhanced oversight, ensuring quality control and consistency of the services we provide.



• To medically qualify for a wish, the child's physician must indicate that the child's condition is "life-threatening". Most organizations require the physician to sign a statement of probability that the child will not survive past the age of eighteen. We believe that this can tear any shred of hope from the family - especially the child - so that is not a Kids Wish requirement.



• At Kids Wish Network, children are assigned their very own wish coordinator to oversee every aspect of the wish. We take the time to find out as much as we can about each wish child and his or her favorite things. This enables us to go the extra mile to custom tailor and personalize many facets of each child's wish.



• Kids Wish Network is unparalleled in its efforts to actively seek out children who have slipped through the cracks of society - those without parents or other advocates.



• Kids Wish Network doesn't end contact once a child's wish is fulfilled. In fact, we make every effort to maintain ongoing relationships with all of our wish kids. Once a child receives his or her wish, we send cards for special occasions and extend invitations to participate in special contests and events in their areas.



• Kids Wish Network has developed a Funeral Assistance Program to assist the families of our wish kids who have passed away.



• Our unique Guardian Angel Fund was opened with a grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation. Donations over $500 may be directed to this fund, where 100% of the proceeds go directly toward fulfilling children's wishes. The fund is set up so that no overhead or other operating expenses can be withdrawn from the account at any time.



• Kids Wish Network developed its Holiday of Hope gift giving programs in order to bring a much-needed break from medical treatment to hospitalized children nationwide throughout the year.



• Kids Wish Network’s Kidz Klub is a fun and exciting site developed exclusively for our wish kids. This special VIP site is a great place for our kids to play games, work on puzzles, and even learn a new language! It’s also a terrific way for them to keep connected with their extended Kids Wish Network family!
