Kids Wish Network
The Origin - A Promise That Started It All
In 1989 my father was diagnosed with cancer and I frequently accompanied him to his chemotherapy treatments. During these visits, I regularly encountered young cancer patients. I simply could not imagine the pain and sorrow associated with watching these children suffer through similar circumstances. As a mother of three, housewife, and business owner, I had always dreamed of someday having the ability to make a difference in the lives of children in need. At that point, I vowed I would dedicate myself to making a difference in the lives of sick children and their families. After my father passed away, I convinced my husband to sell our business to make good on my promise. |

In 1997, my dream became a reality with the founding of Kids Wish Network. We realized other wish-granting organizations existed, but we had ideas for important programs and services not being offered by other charities. Within a few short years, the programs we had created were in such demand that Kids Wish Network became national in scope.
I am truly blessed that my dream has brought joy to thousands of very sick children and as we continue our journey, I will do my best to seek out new and innovative programs to ease the pain these brave little children and their families face, each and every day.
For the children,
