Wish Kid Alex’s Lifelong Struggle with Noonan Syndrome

A high white blood count at birth led to a diagnosis of Noonan syndrome for Alex. Noonan syndrome is a multi-system disorder often characterized by heart defects, bleeding problems, and failure to thrive. By the time he was 11 years old, Alex had already undergone three heart surgeries. Alex continues to see a cardiologist twice a year.

Alex may seem shy at first, but he quickly warms up to others. He loves baseball and “loves talking about it all the time” according to Dad. This sweet boy can be seen walking around with a baseball glove on his hand most of the day.

Kids Wish Network wants Alex to have that baseball glove on when we grant his wish for a VIP Experience at a Boston Red Sox game.
